About Wexell Milman

In 1981, attorney Richard M. Wexell began handling family law and divorce-related matters for clients in Fairfax County and the adjacent counties and cities of Northern Virginia. Since 1981, the firm has expanded to include partner Douglas E. Milman and associate attorney Sarah Annear. For over twenty-five years the firm's focus on family law and separation and divorce has remained unchanged.

In addition to our experience and dedication to our clients, here are some of the other important qualities we would like you to consider when deciding on your choice of an attorney

  • We are thoughtful advocates who are sensitive to the difficult and emotional nature of these issues. We will work closely with you to identify your specific needs, goals, and objectives. We will assist you in understanding and evaluating all of your reasonable options.
  • We are responsive to our clients and we will strive to resolve your concerns promptly, with dignity, and within your budget. Throughout this process, you can count on us to be in regular contact with you, and to keep you informed of the progress of your case.
  • Our emphasis on thorough preparation produces the results clients want and also enables us to respond quickly and effectively to the unique issues of your case.
  • Decades of experience have allowed us to develop the resources and contacts needed to handle even the most complex divorce issues. Our lawyers work with a number of other highly respected professionals who have expertise in matters such as forensic accounting, property appraisal, business valuation, and child custody evaluation.

Finally, because any attorney's ability to achieve the results you want often depends on their ability to work well with the attorney on the other side, and the Courts, we believe that the ethical standards we maintain, the professionalism we show in our work, and the dedication we have to our clients have earned us the respect and trust of our colleagues throughout the legal community.
